After wandering around the globe I arrived back in Utrecht, on the campus. Working for a non for profit semi government organisation. TNO really bridges the gap between university and industry. The mission "TNO connects people and knowledge to create innovations that boost the sustainable competitive strength of industry and well-being of society." is something I can really identify myself with.
I started in 2016 at the environmental modelling, sensing and analysis research group (EMSA).
At EMSA I was working as a scientist on a wide variety of environmental monitoring techniques. Applying classic monitoring techniques and smart sensors for air and water quality. But also testing of low budget IoT sensors for air and water quality.
In the summer of 2019 I moved within TNO to start working for the research group Geomodelling as a Hydrogeologist, this group is part of the Geological Survey of the Netherlands. My work revolves around groundwater and I seek the connection between groundwater, hyrdogeology and the energy transition.
